On Monday, we focused on creating the girl's basketball spread for the yearbook. We learned how to resize and resample and image, so it can be used in the yearbook. The pictures were changed from 72 dpi to 300 dpi, while maintaining its size. We also changed the brightness, constrast, and intensity of the photos to the way we want them in the spread.
On Tuesday, I was sent on a photo assignment to take photos of Suessical the Musical at our school. It was fun watching the show as well as taking great photos that could potentially be used in the yearbook. That was a class well spent, althought not necessarily in it, I was still learning things.
On Wednesday, the class focused on placing captions and learning the whole layout of the girls basketball spread. The class was shown how to place captions in the spread, and what to talk about inside the captions. I had a fun, but somewhat difficult time thinking of clever captions for the spread, but I managed to do them all. I also had a photo assignment that day after school to take pictures of the girl's junior and senior volleyball team, which I am involved in as well.
On Thursday, we continued progresing with the girl's basketball spread with captions, the body copy, and everything else that was taught but still incomplete. I tried to finish up as much as I could, and also started experimenting with titles for the spread.
On Friday, we learned a new technique that could potentially be used in the yearbook, and that was placing an image in text. This was done by typing text, creating an outline and placing a photo inside it. Above is the text I created with an image of Suessical the Musical inside it.
