Well this looks like this will be my last post. Sadly, there is little to say. I made a time capsule spread as an in-class assignment. I'm not sure if it will end up in the yearbook, so I will have to wait and find out I guess!
That was pretty much what I did for the week, I didn't go to class much this week because of my super busy exam schedule which started last friday.
I had a lot of fun in the class this year, and I hope that my contributions were of good use to the yearbook! What a good semester, now here comes summer!
This is a portofolio for my Yearbook class I am involved in at Korah Collegiate and Vocational School.

June 7 - 11, 2010

On Monday, I worked on the track and field spread, starting to fill in all the captions and the cross country body copy. This is taking up alot of my time!
On Tuesday, I continued to work on the track and field spread, and organized all the photos and captions, and just tweaked the spread a lot.
On Wednesday, I was running around getting information for the track and field body copy, and tweaking the spread.
On Thursday, I had most of the spread put together. I just had to get the track and field body copy, and fill in some extra things!
On Friday, I finished the spread! I got the body copy finished, and everything is set! Here is a photo of my accomplishment!

May 31 - June 4, 2010

On Monday, I worked on the groups spread by fixing up the Duke of Ed body copy, and also the Book Club's body copy. I also just tweaked the photos and their placement.
On Tuesday, I worked on the groups spread. I made the body copy of the Free the Children spread again, because I deleted it by accident. I worked on the spread for the rest of the day, just tweaking it and making it look nice.
On Wednesday, I finished up my Groups page featuring Duke of Ed, Free the Children, and the Book Club. I had to finish up the by posting a business card sized add, fill in the missing links of photos, and spell check and have the spread proofread by the librarian. It's nice to have another spread done! At the top is the spread that I made!
On Thursday, I edited photos that I wanted to use for the Track and Field/Cross Country spread. There were lots of Track pictures to choose from, but not much for Cross Country. I make a great edit photo of a female grade 9 student running track. I took the background and blurred it to look like she was running very fast. I also discovered the smart brush tool on Adobe Photoshop, and used that to make the grass greener, and add contrast to certain parts of the photo. Editing and photoshoping the photos took up the whole class.
On Friday, I began to create the Track and Field/Cross Country spread, and placing the pictures where I wanted them to go. I also had to make exceptions to some cross conutry photos that weren't that great because of the little selection there were to choose from. As requested by Mr. Wrigley, the class posted a picture showing good use of light, and mine is at the top of the post. Also at the top is the photo I edited on Thursday.
