On Monday, I worked on the groups spread by fixing up the Duke of Ed body copy, and also the Book Club's body copy. I also just tweaked the photos and their placement.
On Tuesday, I worked on the groups spread. I made the body copy of the Free the Children spread again, because I deleted it by accident. I worked on the spread for the rest of the day, just tweaking it and making it look nice.
On Wednesday, I finished up my Groups page featuring Duke of Ed, Free the Children, and the Book Club. I had to finish up the by posting a business card sized add, fill in the missing links of photos, and spell check and have the spread proofread by the librarian. It's nice to have another spread done! At the top is the spread that I made!
On Thursday, I edited photos that I wanted to use for the Track and Field/Cross Country spread. There were lots of Track pictures to choose from, but not much for Cross Country. I make a great edit photo of a female grade 9 student running track. I took the background and blurred it to look like she was running very fast. I also discovered the smart brush tool on Adobe Photoshop, and used that to make the grass greener, and add contrast to certain parts of the photo. Editing and photoshoping the photos took up the whole class.
On Friday, I began to create the Track and Field/Cross Country spread, and placing the pictures where I wanted them to go. I also had to make exceptions to some cross conutry photos that weren't that great because of the little selection there were to choose from. As requested by Mr. Wrigley, the class posted a picture showing good use of light, and mine is at the top of the post. Also at the top is the photo I edited on Thursday.
